Our first winery for the day, and always a popular one – the Gippsland Wine Company!
Here we are given a taste of not just the award winning, cool-climate single vineyard wine; but also a taste as to what makes the South Gippsland Wine Region truly unique – it’s authenticity.
Mark, the owner and chief wine-o here, gives us a first hand look and an in-depth taste into his livelihood and his passion.
Accompanied with the wine is a taste of some of the finest cheese in Australia, grown right down the road at Prom Country Cheese.
INCLUDED: Wood-fired Pizzas & Beer (or cider) Paddle
Walking into the Burra Brewery here in Korumburra could relax even the most hardened of souls.
With a great atmosphere and relaxing vibes, our time here is well spent enjoying the locals brews made right here on site.
Complete with some absolutely delicious wood-fired pizzas our stop here will definitely be an enjoyable one.
Heading down the hill, we arrive into Harman Wines. Another of Gippsland authentic, family operated wineries, our experience here is like no other, as we indulge in some more of Gippsland finest wines whilst savouring the tastes from a freshly made, locally sourced, grazing platter.
INCLUDED: Wine Tasting & Unparalleled Views
To get to our last stop, we take the scenic route right through the South Gippsland Hills – and what lays before us is simply breathtaking.
We will play some classic tunes to pass the time, before arriving into Gurdies Winery, directly overlooking the vineyard and Western Port Bay!
It’s a sight to behold here, as we soak in the views, and soak in our last drop of fine wine before we depart.
Alas, all good things must come to an end.
We will probably make at least one stop in at a Maccas or similar on our return – as after all that wine, sometimes this is needed.
However, don’t think that the return journey will just be a boring drive home, we definitely do make the most of this.
Sing along to some tunes, update “the gram”, or share some more good times with your newly acquired tour friends.
We will get you back to your pickup location safe and sound.
ETA (depending on traffic and leave time)
Officer : 5.15pm
Melbourne : 6.00pm
Unfortunately, our buses are built for day tours, and as such, they do not carry toilets.
We do make frequent stops throughout the day where there will be toilet facilities. The the longest duration we will spend on the bus is generally to and from our initial pickup location (which rarely exceeds an hour).
For our PUBLIC TOURS, there is an age restriction of 18+.
Many of our visits include that of licenced premises, where alcohol will included as part of the tour.
If you are booking a PRIVATE TOUR, then we can allow for the inclusion of minors on board. However, they remain your responsibility throughout the day.
Any minor on board is charged at the regular price, minus $30 per minor.
We continue to do our best to navigate our way through this unprecedented situation.
We want to assure everyone that we aren’t going to just take your money and run – regardless as to what happens.
We will ALWAYS look to travel the tour by re-scheduling and providing you a choice of dates (where applicable)
If we cannot travel due to Covid Restrictions, you will receive a full credit of monies paid.
Please note, the current Covid restrictions have hit us all hard, but none harder than those in the Tourism industry.
These places we will be visiting RELY on tourism such as this, which is why we are so excited to finally be able to get back out and see them once more!
If, for some reason WE cannot continue with the tour (lack of numbers, situations out of our control) then we will provide you with a full refund of the tour cost.
If YOU can no longer travel, then we will provide a full refund up until 7 days prior to the tour.
Between 6 Days and 48 hours prior, we will offer you a credit for a future tour OR 50% refund.
Should you cancel under 48 hours prior to the tour, then no refund can be given.
YES! Of course – we encourage this.
We provide everyone with their own Gourmet Gippsland Hessian Shopping Bag, that you can fill to your hearts content.
We will also have room below the bus for additional storage AND an esky on board for those wanting to buy cold products.
Gippsland is prone to some wet weather from time to time – but this doesn’t detract from our fun!
Our tours go ahead, rain, hail or shine. We spend a lot of time inside, in different cafe’s, farms houses etc. so there is plenty of time to keep dry.
However, if you wanted to go out and enjoy Gippsland in the rain (where a good photo or two can definitely come of it) we suggest a good pair of water proof shoes, and a rain jacket.
We don’t like to travel with large group sizes, as we feel this can detract from the experience.
As such, our group sizes range from between 8 – 20 people, on any given tour.
Yes. We can adhere to most food allergies that are made known to us BEFORE the day of tour (please make us aware of this at the time of booking).
There may be some foods included on the tour that you are unable to eat, however, we will do our best to arrange a similar substitute.
The good news is, we don’t force you to eat any particular food, so the decision to do so lies with you.
We believe the best tours are the ones where our people are well fed (and well hydrated)!
As such, we shall provide the following throughout the day…
- x 3 Wine Tastings
- Cheese Tasting
- Wood-fired Pizzas
- Brewery Beer OR Cider Paddle
- Grazing Platter to Share
There will be plenty of time to buy your own food should you wish (though we doubt you will get hungry).
Please inform us should you have any allergies, and we’ll do our best to make a swap for you.
No – but we would recommend bringing just a little.
What you pay to come on the tour covers all inclusions – including food & drink tastings.
However, you are welcome to buy your own food throughout the day, and there will be time to do this.
We also recommend bringing some extra money with you, as there will be ample time to make purchases at many of Gippsland best shopping locations.
All you need is yourself to enjoy this day – and we’ll take care of the rest.
However, we would make a few suggestions so you could really get the most out of your day.
Camera – (or just your phone) as there will be some GREAT photo opportunities
Warm Jacket – (weather dependent) as it can get quite cold down in Gippsland during some months.
This is a full day bus tour (8 Hours approx)
