Pioneers Pathway – Flinders Ranges & Broken Hill
“Explore the extraordinary path of the old pioneers”

Come with us on a journey as we explore the paths set by the pioneers of old.
Venturing our west, we take in the magnificent Grampians and the mighty Murray River, before arriving into Port Augusta on day 3, ready to head into the outback.
We spend 2 nights staying at the breathtaking Rawnsley Park Station, which directly overlooks the south side of the Wilpena Pound. Touring through the ranges will leave your speechless, as we pass through rock formations that have been forming for over 150,000 years!
Taking leave from this beautiful area, we cross the barren desert plains leading into Broken Hill, where we spend another 3 days exploring this unique and beautiful town.

I was really taken by the way the tour was conducted.  The people on board the bus were all great you could talk to anyone at anytime.

TOUR FAQs

When is the full payment due?2020-05-21T03:47:29+00:00

Full payment for our extended tours are due 2 months prior to the date of departure.
Any payment made after this time, without prior communication with us, may jeapordise your place on the tour.

What deposit do I need to pay?2020-05-21T03:42:28+00:00

We require a $200 per person deposit in order to confirm your booking on a particular tour.
This is transferable to another tour (credit) up until 3 months prior to tour, and non refundable after that.

Do you pick me up from Home?2020-05-21T03:34:17+00:00

For our Extended Tours of 3 Nights or more, we do provide a home pickup and return service for those people within 60km of our office (Pakenham).
We will confirm timings for this with you closer to the date of departure.
For those that fall outside of this radius, or for tours that are 2 Nights or less, we look to arrange central pickup points, or we allow you to park at our office here in Pakenham.
We make these central pickup points easy to access, and it is out intention to get as close to you as practically possible

What happens if we don’t get enough numbers to travel?2020-05-21T03:34:33+00:00

We are ALWAYS looking for any way to travel that we can – so cancelling a tour does not come easy for us.
If we were initially planning on travelling in a larger bus, then we would look to reduce the size of a the bus (which allows for a more intimate setting).
We then might look to change a few of the inclusions around – of course, we would keep you updated about this.
We then might look to change/postpone the date, to allow for more people to come – of course, we would keep you updated about this.
And the very last resort would be us cancelling the tour.
Keep in mind – anytime that WE need to cancel or postpone the tour, we of course would provide you a full refund of your monies paid.

What should I bring on Tour?2020-05-21T03:34:46+00:00

The important thing to bring is yourself and a smile – we can take care of the rest!
But really. this is going to differ slightly from tour to tour.
We recommend that people pack light – as generally those that pack everything but the kitchen sink, get to the end of tour, and realise they never even used half the things they brought.
The few big ones…
– Any Medications
– At least one change of clothes per 3 days
– A warm jacket if things are looking to get cold
– Comfortable footwear
– A set of casual clothing
– And a good book never goes astray
– Remember, if we are going international you WILL need your passport.
